Important stuff you need to know before booking. We try to keep it straightforward.
Your Responsibilities
- You’re responsible for the bin while it’s on hire
- Don’t put non-permitted waste in the bin (liquids, hazardous materials, asbestos, etc.)
- Don’t fill higher than the top level – we can’t transport overloaded bins safely
- Don’t move the bin or use it for anything other than waste disposal
- No burning waste in the bins
- Make sure there’s safe access for delivery and pickup
Weight & Damage Charges
- If your bin goes over the weight limit, we charge 20 cents per kg (that’s $20 per 100kg, or $200 per tonne)
- Different bin sizes have different weight limits – check your booking confirmation
- We weigh all bins when collected and charge overweight fees to your card within 48 hours
- You’re liable for any damage to bins while on hire
- If we can’t pick up due to obstacles, overweight, or non-permitted waste, additional charges apply
Access & Placement
- You need to ensure safe access and stable ground for delivery and pickup
- We’re not responsible for damage to surfaces – protect your driveway if needed
- Driver places the bin where practical – we’re not liable for underground services damage
- Make sure the bin is visible and has appropriate warning signs
- Road placement requires an Auckland Transport permit (your responsibility)
- We may refuse to enter a site if it’s not safe
Bookings & Cancellations
- Cancel at least 24 hours before delivery or pay 50% cancellation fee
- No refunds if we arrive and can’t deliver due to access issues
- Bins remain our property – we can enter your property to reclaim them if needed
Payment & Card Storage
- To complete your booking, you must authorize us to securely store your payment card details via Stripe
- This allows us to charge your card for:
- The skip bin hire cost (charged at checkout)
- Overweight fees (20 cents per kg over the weight limit)
- Any additional fees (damage, access issues, contaminated waste)
- You’ll receive an email receipt for all charges
- Card details are stored securely by Stripe – we never see your full card number
